Show & Tell - November 2015
Our guest lecturer/teacher, Kristine Poor of http://poorhousequiltdesign.com/ shared her patterns and how to method for making beautiful bowls among other things using a unique product. Check out her website for more information.
We also had a huge showing for Show 'n Tell. So much good talent in our BFQG!
Show & Tell - October 2015
Sharon Mayers was our guest speaker and teacher. Piecing with Poppers is her own technique that really does make the individual blocks "pop".
Show & Tell - September 2015
The Bedford Friendship Quilt Guild celebrating 10 years! The celebration included a delicious birthday cake, beautiful floral arrangements, baskets filled with fall flowers for each table, plenty of food for lunch, guests, former and present Charter members, lots of door prizes, past Presidents and so much more.
Show & Tell - July 2015
Jane stands ready to hand out our 10th Anniversary shirts and totes! What fun stuff. Great show and tell and lots of FIT quilts that are done and ready for the children who need them. Thank you to all who donated time, talent, fabric, machine quilting, bindings, etc.
Show & Tell - June 2015
Even though this was our June Show & Tell, we were anticipating not only July 4th but also celebrating Christmas in July by making various gifts. Sandy and Paula came up with some great ideas as you will see.
Show & Tell - May 2015
The kitchen crew decorated with a beach theme and invited anyone to wear a hat which several did to bring on the summer after such a wintery winter!
The quilt challenge was revealed and voted upon. Each block represents an adjetive...some were pretty tough but all came through. Great job by all participants and special thanks to Jane for pulling it off!
Show & Tell - April 2015
The highlight of the April "show 'n tell" was the unveling of a library cart which will be housed in the basement of the Church. Yes, there is an elevator. Diane and Linda no longer will have to lug those heavy library books to and from the car.
Show & Tell - March 2015
February meeting was cancelled due to weather so we were more than ready for the meeting in March! Beside Show & Tell, four members volunteered to teach a special technique in mini workshops.
Show & Tell - January 2015
Each meeting is preceeded by "snack 'n yack" and there's plenty of each to go around!
Show & Tell - December 2014
Decembers Pot Luck is always a great time. Festive tables are set, excitement grows as wrapped packages are brought in and mouths water as the dishes are set out on the tables.
Show & Tell - November 2014
Karen Eckmeier's (our guest lecturer/teacher) method of layering and topstitching technique in her landscape quilts as well as in clothing and other quilts are stunning. Karen turns fabric into pieces of quilted art work.
Show & Tell - October 2014
The Guild had it's own pumpkin festival and to help celebrate was our speaker Maureen Blanchard owner of Cobblestone Quilts, Townsend, MA.
Members were to guess how many pumpkin seeds were in this head. Would you believe well over 300!
Show & Tell - September 2014
Through the generosity of the members, it is possible for all to gather prior to the meeting for conversation, coffee/tea and wonderful eats. We call it the Snack 'n Yack time.
Show & Tell - August 2014
Sharon N. showed one (out of two) of her first quilts. The designs for both were something to see....AND it's a beginners quilt. Amazing.
Show & Tell - July 2014
Show & Tell continues with Guild Members "first quilt" or quilt project. Shown is Anne-Marie with her first quilt. Through the four blocks, she learned different techniques.
Most of the first quilts shown were all hand quilted and some hand pieced as well.
Show & Tell - June 2014
It was with pleasure that the BFQG honored and gifted two WW II Veterans, Bob Sundeen and Frank Lindh, each with a Quilt of Valor. Pictured with the men are Tommi and Pam.
Show & Tell - May 2014
Helen H. celebrating 95 years. A secret to a long life? Helen stays active, quilts, attends Guild meetings, etc. A great example of how we should "all grow up." The Guild is blessed to have you!
Guild Quilt Retreat - April 26 2014
A retreat environment to help one create beautiful quilts in a very relaxed atmosphere. You don't even have to cook a meal!
